Front Page Treasury!

•June 20, 2009 • Leave a Comment

I just found out that my treasury hit the front page a few days ago, how fun!  Thank you to our forum  members for posting that, I had completely missed it.  I thought I would post this as I sit here waiting for Treasury West to open up.  🙂  Even though the treasury has expired you can still find these items on www.etsy.com if you are interested.  Simply run a search by seller and look for the seller by name.

Unravelling the mystery of International Shipping

•June 19, 2009 • Leave a Comment

I finally “get” it and thought I would share what I’ve learned. I have always taken any packages that were shipping internationally to the post office…but who wants to that every day?? I did some research and shipping internationally isn’t as difficult as I was making it and I can easily ship those packages from home and save a trip to the post office. For packages under 13 oz the rules are simple, go to http://www.usps.com and calculate the amount of postage you will need, print and fill out a customs form. Tape the customs form to your package and affix stamps totalling the amount of postage you need. That’s it, carry your package out to your mailbox and you’re done.

I did go into the post office the other day to verify this information with them and they assured me that packages shipped this way are just fine. Stamps.com allows you to print postage from your PC avoiding the need for stamps but unless you ship internationally frequently $19.99 for their service might just be too steep. 🙂

I don’t do…Mondays

This is the newest piece in my Domestic Protest line. biggrin.gif DH suggested it one Monday morning as he kissed me goodbye on his way to work…now you know why I had to go with a tie.  I soldered sterling silver and patterned brass together to form the stripes and the charms are soldered so they won’t overlap.
